November 4, 2009 - Ekin reveals his 3 No's policy with regard to girlfriends.
It was revealed in a number of Hong Kong publications that Ekin puts into practice a 3 No's policy. First, he will not get married, second, he is not splitting up with his girlfriend, third, he will not support her with money. When Ekin and Yoyo moved into Ekin's new appartment, she mistakenly took this as a prelude to marriage. As Ekin revealed he had not intention of gettting maried, then she quickly spoke out saying that they had consensus on this. Friends of Ekin, however, feel that time shows a person's heart, and they feel that Yoyo's character is poor. They have advised Ekin to think over his relationship with her very carefully. However 42 year old Ekin already has a method of self-defense in his 3 No's policy. In fact conservative estimates place Ekin's personal net worth in the region of $100 million HK. Ekin is currently busy training for his up coming concert. He jogs daily to build up his stamina.
The spark between Ekin and Yoyo occured on the badminton court, a game they both enjoy. They have been together now for 3 years. Reports have indicated that Yoyo has unsuccessfully tried to force Ekin into marriage. Because of this she is rumored to have told her friends that he is irresponsible. Ekin's good friends, including Jordan Chan, Jerry Lam and Wilson see Yoyo clearly when they are out as a group that her quality isn't good. Informed friends say that this has probably begun in the last 6 months and Yoyo has begun to show her true self. She was not like this when they started dating, then she pretended to be simple, allowing Ekin to joke and trick her. At that time she only smiled. Now friends think she is not that naive and is in fact most troublesome. With Ekin she says that it doesn't matter, but she complains to her friends that Ekin is a big kid and not responsible. Ekin's friends consider that she is a fake.
Chris Lai had introduced the couple, yet he too is beginning to be concerned. He is friendly with both Ekin and Yoyo. Chris now feels Yoyo is not as simple as he thought and now he regrets introducing them. He is worried that he has implicated his friend. Wilson has been Ekin's friend for more than 10 years, consequently he has the most opinions. When Ekin was dating Gigi Leung he contantly warned him not to believe women and keep everything separate. Prior to that when Ekin was with Maggie Sui they owned property together. Consequently when they broke up it was very troublesome. Ekin finally avoided it. he gave all the jointly owned property to Maggie. Wilson frankly says, a person shouldn't start any business or buy joint property with any woman if you are not married, because when there is a break up there will be problems. When Ekin and Maggie split up, Ekin learned a big lesson. Now he is much smarter, he no longer casually talks, and he knows how to look after his money.
