August 17, 2009 - 300 Hong Kong Artistes Participate In Charity Concert For Taiwan Disaster Relief.

This evening at 7:30pm a large number of Hong Kong Celebrities participated in a charity concert to raise money for disaster ravaged southern Taiwan following the recent typhoon. Eric Tsang officiated the event. he wanted participants to dress the same, in blue jeans and white T-shirts to show their unity. Most celebrities complied with Eric's request, however, a few did not. Participants included Aaron Kwok, Andy Lau, Leon Lai, Jerry Lam, Michael Tse, Jordan Chan and Ekin Cheng, among more than 100 others participated in the charity concert. The artistes one after another appeared at the scene to perform.The TVB Chairman donated $1 million Taiwan Dollars to the cause. The concert raised $50,904,86. The money will be given to the Red Cross to coordinate the disaster relief.

Ekin together with Jordan Chan, Michael Tse and Jerry Lam performed《友情岁月》from Young and Dangerous. The au entire audience caused a great commotion and a number of people stood up to clap, thrilled at the reunion of the Hung Hing brothers.. On-line many people also praised their performance, saying that they were the perfect four people for this performance. When Sandra Ng, who played Sister Thirteen in the movie joined them, she asked them what word described them. The four laughed and said " We are still Righteous."

While the concert took place there were approximately 50 hot lines on Taiwan's TVBS station to take donations for the disaster relief. They reported that many children had asked their parents to contribute,
