September 14, 2009 - Ekin travels to Japan for Kamui First Screening
Ekin was in Japan to attend the first screening of the Japanese movie Legend of Kamui. The official release date for the movie is Saturday, September 19, 2009. Together with his fellow cast members and the director, Yochi Sai, Ekin walked a long 70 meter red carpet. The event attracted more than 5,000 fans, so there were more than 200 security people to keep order. Matsuyama and Koyuki have been linked romantically and so became the media focal point.
Ekin said that he knew the story from reading the manga. He added that he really likes to read Japanese manga, of course he read the story at once. The adaptation of the manga story is definitely well done. Ekin said that as a actor he feels he should try different cultures, for example this is the first time he has filmed a completely Japanese movie. However, he has collaborated in Japan many times, but this is the first time he has filmed a proper Japanese film with a Japanese director. Acting the tradition of the Japanese Ninja is also the first time. Completely different, right, In the film before he learned the traditional way to hold the knife, the studio arranged an air ticket and asked him to come over and study for a week before returning home. He then had to wait to start work. The way the Japanese hold a knife is completely different from China. I only hope to have a personal breakthrough, because there may be a sigh over the performance.. Ekin is very ruthless, very strong, he hopes his performance will appear tough. My own performance he regards as a different model of his body appearance, so I am happy to do this.
