July 4, 2009 - Ekin travels to Japan for Legend of Kamui Publicity
Ekin made a special trip to Japan together with director Yoichi Sai and Kenichi Matsuyama in order to publicize the new film 《Kamui外傳》. More than 500 people turned up at the open air venue to see Ekin and hear about the film. The director was quite astounded at the number of people who came.
In the film Ekin has one eye. He seeks to kill Matsuyama. The director revealed that Ekin's character has a soft and tender side as well as a strong powerful side. It is a completely ruthless role. A number of fans were allowed to meet Ekin.
That day was also the Director's 60th birthday At a banquet later in the day, Ekin shared a birthday cake together with Yoichi Sai.
The movie will most likely premiere in Japan on September 19, 2009.
