May 28, 2009 - Ekin Leads Neighborhood Dragonboat Team to Victory.
Today Ekin participated for the second time in Dragon Boat Festival as an ambassador for the neighborhood group. He sat in the boat and kept the drum beat for the neighborhood team in Sai Kung. By coincidence Ekin's girlfriend Yoyo separately was at the Shatin Dragonboat Festival supporting the TVB team as part of a promotion event for her latest TVB series.
Before the races, reporters asked Ekin if he was confident, Ekin said that actually he hadn't practiced with the team before the race, but last year they got third place. This year he believed that they really had a chance to win. They asked him if he was afraid of getting wet. He laughed and said " Of course I'm not afraid, because I am half a water person, also last year I traveled in the dragon boat." Reporters asked him he was superstitious. He said that today was a good opportunity to win. This year a lot of dragon boats competed. Sure enough the outcome for the neighborhood team was an easy victory. Ekin as the captain of the boat was very happy and excited. He expressed that next year he didn't want to beat the drum but join the rowers.
